Concert “Rediscovering Álvaro Cassuto” by the Algarve Orchestra
About the concert
In a concert bringing together two pianists, each at their own piano, the Algarve Orchestra also pays tribute to Álvaro Cassuto (1938–2026), its founding conductor, with a new performance of his Concertino for Piano and Strings. Diana Botelho Vieira and Raúl da Costa then join forces to perform Mozart’s magnificent Concerto for Two Pianos, a unique work in his catalogue. With music by Edward Elgar and Camille Saint-Saëns also on the programme, this concert promises an abundance of musical beauty.
