The increasing economic importance of tourism led to a fast expansion of Tourism Economics over the last two decades. The present Master Program combines this emerging field within Economics with a consolidated one: Regional Economics.
Integrated in a Double Degree Program, this Master also allows students to access the Master in Economics of Tourism: Monitoring and Evaluation, offered by the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain).
The region of Algarve is a natural laboratory for Tourism Economics and Regional Development. Hence, this Master's Program aims not only to provide students with state of the art knowledge on these fields, but also to explore its practical applications. Our motto is: Bridging Theory and Practice.
