Organizing committee

On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, we cordially invite you to the 5th Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference (ATMC) at Algarve, which will be held in October 2-4, 2013.

This conference aims to discuss and bridge the gap between tourism space and place. Space expresses fluidity or contingency, whereas place implies interaction between individuals and the physical location. As space is transformed into place, tourism is all about the reality of experiences that impact flows and impacts. This conference looks for contributions that deconstruct how space takes form in different physical, cognitive, social, and emotional dimensions resulting from interactions between tourists and hosts' places.

The 2013 ATMC will be organized to enable the optimal social and scientific environment.  We welcome your paper submission and active participation. This conference will provide you with numerous opportunities to interact with the latest cutting edge theories and practices. In addition to the conference program, we will provide social and entertainment programs. Through various social programs, the conference participants will have the opportunity to have a flavour of what is the very best of tourism and golf in Algarve, the 2012 world’s best golf destination. Aside from the social and pleasant environment a number of opportunities to publish in top leading journals are open as well as the awards for the three best papers presented.

We sincerely look forward to your participation and invaluable contribution at this meaningful gathering in Algarve.

With our warmest regards,

Antónia Correia,                     Adriano Pimpão
